Alex Novak is a Consultant in Emergency Medicine and Ambulatory Care at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and is the Consultant lead for Emergency Medicine Research Oxford (EMROx). He has a number of strategic research roles across the local and regional acute healthcare sector, including Chair of the Thames Valley Emergency medicine Research Network (TaVERN), and was awarded Royal College of Emergency Medicine Principal Investigator of the Year 2020. He has a broad portfolio of research projects, including a particular interest in the development and evaluation of AI-enhanced imaging in acute healthcare settings, and is Chief Investigator for the GE Critical Care Suite Pneumothorax Reader Study.
